Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist (PT) delivers high-quality patient-centered care by overseeing the therapeutic treatment process for an assigned group of patients. Working in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams the PT is responsible for assessing patients developing individualized treatment plans and implementing interventions that enhance mobility restore function and improve quality of life. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a positive patient experience and successful rehabilitation outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and deliver evidence-based treatment interventions within the legal scope of practice and ethical standards.
- Assess patient functional abilities and participate in the development of a comprehensive care plan.
- Administer purposeful and skilled therapy interventions in accordance with the physicians orders and patient goals.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs use of therapeutic appliances and safety protocols.
- Provide clear instructions for continued therapy and support outside of clinical sessions.
- Manage and prioritize caseload effectively; coordinate daily staffing needs and appropriate patient handoffs.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Masters or Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active Florida state license in Physical Therapy.
- Certification:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
