Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 2 Years (possible extension)
Location: 300 N. Vine Horicon WI 53032
Shift: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
Education: Engineering/Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
Role Overview:
Responsible for planning coordinating and performing manufacturing engineering work within a team environment. Supports machining sheet metal and tooling design operations - ensuring process improvement quality and compliance with engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement assembly weld and material handling tooling.
- Develop and validate manufacturing processes tooling and fixtures.
- Coordinate tooling design procurement and implementation into production.
- Analyze test and improve manufacturing systems for quality and efficiency.
- Manage subcontractors budgets and project timelines.
- Support ongoing production operations and resolve tooling or quality issues.
- Apply GD&T and technical judgment to evaluate tooling and designs.
- Support audits risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2 years in manufacturing or quality engineering (machining/sheet metal/tooling focus).
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (Creo preferred).
- Strong understanding of GD&T SPC FMEA and Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with SAP-PAG/PDM and manufacturing systems.
- Knowledge of weld and assembly processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and lead projects independently.
- Strong organizational analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with riding lawn equipment or utility vehicle production.
- Audit and supplier quality experience (JDS-G223 DPARs Process Verification).
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with toolmaking fabrication and welding practices.
- Self-motivated detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving.
