Purpose of Role
To lead trading activities in designated markets by leveraging existing buyer and supplier relationships supported by the companys global sourcing network.
The Fish Trader will act as a commercial link between production and distribution ensuring profitable and sustainable trade flow across regions.
Responsibilities
Negotiate and execute sales and purchase contracts for frozen and fresh seafood.
Manage pricing spreads and financial risk per trade to ensure profitability.
Expand client base and market coverage using the companys supply lines and capital resources.
Identify growth opportunities in new product categories and geographies.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to secure efficient shipment flow.
Verify product documentation traceability and quality compliance.
Track key trading metrics (volumes margins client activity) and report insights weekly.
Ensure all transactions meet trade regulations certifications and sustainability standards.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Monthly trading volume ( / tonnes)
Gross margin per trade
Number of active buyers/suppliers
Client retention and growth rate
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of hands-on seafood trading experience preferably in frozen or fresh products.
Existing portfolio of active clients and suppliers.
Fluent in English; additional European languages (Spanish French Portuguese Italian) are an advantage.
Strong commercial drive negotiation skills and financial acumen.
Familiarity with logistics and documentation (INCOTERMS customs certificates).

Required Skills:
