Job Summary

2-3 Months Contract with a Local Authority

Summary

This role involves performing a variety of maintenance repair and installation tasks with a primary emphasis on carpentry and plumbing. The position requires both independent and collaborative work to deliver high-quality services in residential and commercial settings. The successful candidate will ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard contributing to the overall maintenance and functionality of the facilities.

Responsibilities

Conduct general maintenance and repair tasks including carpentry plumbing and basic multi-trade work such as tiling painting and minor electrical repairs.
Diagnose and resolve issues promptly to minimize disruption to clients or residents.
Install repair and maintain plumbing systems including sinks toilets radiators and pipework.
Perform carpentry tasks such as door hanging flooring skirting and kitchen unit installation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards in all work performed.
Maintain accurate records of work completed materials used and time spent.

Essential Experience

Proven experience in carpentry and plumbing trades.
Experience in domestic and/or commercial maintenance environments.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Qualification

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry Plumbing or a related trade (or equivalent).
CSCS Card (preferred).

Working hours: 8 hours per day
Location: Carshalton Road Sutton Greater London SM1 4LE United Kingdom.
