Job Summary

Reporting hierarchically to the Engineering Manager Iberia the Site Engineering Lead must support contribute to drive and implement company initiatives and follow the implementation of the Americold/EU strategy. This role is responsible for the implementation coordination and supervision of maintenance plans and for taking control of the facilities to ensure they provide their service reporting all necessary KPIs to provide a global overview and defending the perimeter of the facilities and necessary equipment.


Main Activities / Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule all corrective preventive predictive and legally required maintenance of the centers facilities and equipment as well as supervise them.
  • Plan manage direct and optimize available resources (responsible for day-to-day management: personnel MHE refrigeration installation repairs work order assignments maintenance material orders etc.).
  • Provide staff with the materials knowledge and equipment necessary to carry out assigned tasks.
  • KPI reporting and management.
  • Develop and maintain a list of critical spare parts for the facility and the spare parts warehouse. Maintain control of the economic value of fixed assets. Ensure proper flow of spare parts in and out of the warehouse.
  • Ensure safety cleanliness and order of the facilities.
  • With prior authorization and training from the company operate production machinery and/or drive vehicles.
  • Supervise correct execution of work and internal procedures and policies by external companies.
  • Ensure workers effectively use necessary protective and safety equipment.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of safety devices in facilities for oneself and work teams as well as personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure control and monitoring of control points and prerequisite programs (PC CCP PRP for chamber temperature maintenance prerequisite programs).
  • Foster a positive work spirit and environment by maintaining close relationships with other departments and promoting proactivity communication and unity ensuring compliance with policies procedures workflows and requirements while respecting the companys code of ethics.
  • Follow workplace safety rules and report any violations. Ensure compliance with food safety occupational health and safety quality and environmental standards.


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Higher Vocational Training (CFGS) in electricity/mechanics 5 years in a similar role (essential)
  • Previous experience working in an automated warehouse (essential)
  • High level of Spanish and English (essential)
  • Training or experience in equipment lockout/tagout (LOTO) (essential)
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) (essential)
  • Basic Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) training related to the role: working at heights confined spaces machinery use etc.
  • Training in waste management and environmental best practices.
  • Excellent management analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Practical flexible proactive and dynamic mindset. Promotes a positive attitude in all activities.
  • Identifies with company values: determination trust receptiveness responsibility and proactivity.
  • Committed and goal-oriented both general and individual (see MBO).
