Automation Test Engineer

We are looking for an Automation Test Engineer (M/F) to join one of our teams located at the clients premises in Munsbach.

As an Automation Test Engineer you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through automated and functional testing. You will collaborate closely with development teams business analysts and stakeholders to define test strategies execute test plans and improve automation frameworks.

THE WORK:

• Design develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Execute functional system integration and regression tests.
• Implement and enhance test automation frameworks.
• Perform API testing (REST) using tools like Postman.
• Utilize test management tools (ideally Azure DevOps) to track test cases and defects.
• Conduct database testing (ideally with MSSQL) to validate data consistency.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Support UAT execution and coordination.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices.

Onsite at client site: This role requires an onsite presence with our clients and partners to support project delivery and strengthen client relationships.

HERES WHAT YOULL NEED:

• 5 years of experience in software quality assurance with at least 2 years in Scrum environments.
• University degree (bachelors or higher) in an IT-oriented field.
• Strong expertise in test automation functional testing and system integration testing.
• Hands-on experience with API testing (REST Postman).
• Good knowledge of databases (MSSQL preferred) for testing purposes.
• Familiarity with test management tools (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Experience testing mobile and web applications.
• Basic/moderate knowledge of UAT execution and coordination.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is a plus.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience in non-functional testing (performance security etc.).
• Knowledge of banking credit card or payment processes.
• Experience with Temenos Transact Core banking system.
• ISTQB certification (foundation or advanced in Test Analysis or Agile Testing).
