- Reads and executes recipes for hot and cold food preparation. Buffet style and Batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality i.e. Proteins (Meats Fish etc) vegetables starches etc.
- Follows counts designated on production sheets as written.
- Informs Chef when a recipe or food production sheet needs to be modified and informs Chef of potential shortages.
- Works with Dining attendants in regard to menu offerings and/or menu changes and specials.
- Practices standards of food sanitation infection control and quality assurance. HAACP
- Team player with Quality and Resident satisfaction as top priority.
- Completes HAACP related food safety paperwork and logs as well as post-production results.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Minimum of Two (2) years of cooking experience in a restaurant or related food service operation preferred.
