Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Salem VA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced ER setting. This position requires critical thinking the ability to perform under pressure and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Triage assess and treat patients experiencing medical emergencies
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient progress and update care plans accordingly
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to provide timely patient-centered care
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation
Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively
Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

Required:
- Diploma or Associate Degree from an accredited nursing program
- Active RN license in Virginia or multi-state compact RN license eligible to practice in Virginia
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an Emergency Room (ER) in an acute care setting
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or currently enrolled in a BSN program
- ACLS PALS and TNCC certifications are highly preferred
