Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated RN Manager to lead the Critical Care (ICU) team. This role provides leadership direction and coordination of operations personnel and patient care within the ICU unit. The RN Manager ensures high standards of care staff competency and regulatory compliance while fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the ICU ensuring effective patient care delivery.
- Lead coach and support nursing staff including performance management and professional development.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies procedures and all regulatory standards.
- Manage staffing scheduling and budget for the unit.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model for ICU staff.
- Maintain up-to-date clinical skills and certifications.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of recent Acute Care leadership experience in the ICU (within the last year).
- Licensure/Certifications (Must be obtained within timeframes listed):
- Registered Nurse (RN) Required
- NIH Stroke Scale Within 30 days of employment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor Within 30 days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor Within 6 months
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) or PALS Instructor Within 6 months
- Education:
- Registered Nurse Diploma Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or
- (APRN) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or (RN) Registered Nurse
