Job Title: Mainframe Developer

Trilyon is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with deep technical expertise in legacy systems and enterprise application integration. The Mainframe Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design implement and support scalable solutions that ensure reliability and performance across mission-critical business processes.

• Lead and contribute to the design development and implementation of mainframe applications using COBOL JCL VSAM DB2 CICS and IMS.

• Analyze design and optimize batch and online processing systems to improve performance and reliability.

• Develop and maintain complex data structures and workflows that support enterprise-scale operations.

• Troubleshoot debug and tune mainframe applications for peak performance and efficiency.

• Collaborate with system analysts architects and business stakeholders to define technical solutions aligned with business goals.

• Integrate mainframe systems with modern platforms APIs and data services to enable digital transformation initiatives.

• Ensure code quality maintainability and adherence to development best practices.

• Participate in Agile or Waterfall development environments and contribute to all phases of the SDLC.

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers as needed.

• Expert-level proficiency in COBOL JCL VSAM DB2 CICS and IMS.

• Strong experience with mainframe utilities and related tools.

• In-depth understanding of both batch and online processing systems.

• Proven ability to design and optimize complex mainframe workflows and data structures.

• Experience integrating mainframe systems with modern cloud or API-based architectures.

• Excellent debugging problem-solving and performance tuning skills.

• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
