Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Endoscopy department is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This includes pre-operative admission administering and recovering patients from moderate sedation and inserting peripheral IVs. The role requires floating within scope to meet facility needs and adhering to strict RTO policies.

Responsibilities:
- Administering and recovering patients from moderate sedation.
- Performing pre-operative admission assessments.
- Inserting peripheral IVs.
- Monitoring patients during and after endoscopic procedures.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs as required.
- Gathering and reporting patient data.
- Carrying out orders and performing therapeutic procedures.
- Documenting patient care and related duties.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of working.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Minimum 3 years of perioperative/endoscopy experience.
- Experience administering and recovering patients from moderate sedation.
- Experience in both Recovery and in Pre-Op admission.
- Skilled at inserting peripheral IVs.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Local candidates preferred (within 75 miles of the facility).
Special Considerations:
- Mandatory float facility; all resources are required to float at the facilitys discretion.
- No call requirements.
- No weekend requirements.
- Maximum of 5 days RTO with no more than 2 consecutive days.
- No holiday RTO.
- No RTO the day prior or after a holiday.
- No RTO on weekends.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
Scheduling:
- 4x10-hour shifts 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM Monday-Friday with one day off.
- No block scheduling.
