Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Barman to join a prestigious luxury wine estate located in Franschhoek. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional beverage service maintain high standards of presentation and ensure an outstanding guest experience at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests
Ensure the bar is fully stocked clean and well-organised at all times
Maintain product knowledge to confidently recommend drinks and pairings to guests
Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently
Adhere to all health safety and hygiene standards in line with company policy
Assist with stock control including ordering and inventory management
Build and maintain positive guest relationships through attentive and professional service
Work collaboratively with restaurant and service teams to ensure smooth operations
Support special events wine tastings and functions as required
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Barman within a luxury hospitality or fine dining environment
Strong knowledge of beverages including wines cocktails and spirits
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Professional appearance and manner
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Reliable punctual and a strong team player
Flexibility to work shifts weekends and public holidays
Reliable transport to and from work
Package Details:
50% Medical Aid contribution
3% Provident Fund contribution
Annual increases and performance-related bonuses
Meal allowance of R25.00 per shift (for salaries below R25000)
Subsidised staff transport on Franschhoek Paarl Stellenbosch and Wellington routes
