Job Summary
Special Education Teacher K2 Self-Contained (Autism Focus)
Clarifi Staffing Solutions is excited to partner with a welcoming Illinois school district to bring on a passionate Special Education Teacher for a self-contained K2 classroom serving students with autism and other developmental needs. This full-time school-year position offers a chance to make a lasting impact by supporting the growth of young learners through individualized instruction and structured evidence-based practices.
In this position youll design and deliver targeted instruction for a small group of students focusing on academic communication and social-emotional development. Youll create engaging lessons aligned with IEP goals and district standards while fostering a supportive classroom culture that promotes independence and confidence. Working alongside paraprofessionals related service providers and families youll ensure each child receives the consistent support they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
About the Role:
- Utilize data-driven strategies to guide instruction and intervention.
- Provide individualized instruction for up to 10 students in a self-contained setting.
- Collaborate closely with school staff and caregivers to build cohesive support plans.
- Implement and monitor IEPs to ensure goals are met and progress is documented accurately.
- Promote positive behavior and social skill development through structured routines and proactive strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting and supporting mild to moderate learning needs is preferred.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.
