What you will do:

• Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
• Back up all functions of the Accounts Payable department.
• Ensures critical overhead expenditures are posted in a timely manner.
• Research discrepancies on stock and direct trade invoices.
• Process vendor chargebacks.
• Reconcile credit memos.
• Assist with vendors inquiries including credit holds
• Request urgent check requests

• Reviews balance sheet accounts including prepayments on orders inventory credit card payments unbilled accounts payable and AP aging

• Back up staff if necessary including overhead invoices rebates freight T&E approval and reception desk

What you will bring:

• High school diploma required college courses in accounting preferred
• 3 Years of Accounts Payable Experience or equivalent combination of Education and experience
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Proficient computer skills MS Word Excel and Outlook
• Above average typing skills and 10 key by touch
• Good communication and writing skills
• Organization skills and excellent phone etiquette
• Must have strong work ethics and professional attitude

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit talk and listen.
• Long and varied hours are required occasionally.

Location:This role is based in Oceanside California

Work hours:8:00am 5:00pm

Salary Range:

• This is a non-exempt position that pays $22.93 - $30.60 an hour. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location within California. The actual range of the role may differ based on the location of the role.
