The Department of Aerospace at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for two full-time temporary (non-tenurable) faculty positions at the rank of lecturer. The contracts may be renewed based on available funding demonstrated need and satisfactory performance as assessed by annual evaluations. The start date for the appointments is January 5 2026.
Successful candidates will teach core and concentration-specific aerospace courses depending on qualifications. Instruction may occur in traditional classrooms laboratories online formats airport facilities and other off-campus locations. We seek educators enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring students in a dynamic and hands-on learning environment.
A masters degree in aerospace aviation engineering management or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.
One (1) year of civilian or military aviation or aerospace experience is required.
