Lighthouse Lab Services is thrilled to partner with a pioneering Dermpath laboratory near Minneapolis MN. We are on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Histology Technician to join this cutting-edge team. AVAILABLE SHIFTS:
8:00a-4:30p or 8:30a-5:00p Mon-Friday

This role entails critical responsibilities in patient care particularly through the processes of embedding and preparing slides for routine Hematoxylin and Eosin (H & E) and special stain procedures. You will perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance and be adept at recognizing when troubleshooting is necessary for processing embedding cutting and staining.

Working in a fast-paced laboratory environment with exposure to biological and chemical hazards you will champion safety compliance and quality control. To be successful in this role you need to meet the following qualifications:

Qualifications:

1. Education:

   • Graduation from a school of Histotechnology accredited by CAHEA/NAACLS.
   • HT (ASCP) certification.

2. Experience:

   • At least 1 year of laboratory training or experience in performing high complexity testing.

3. Certification:

   • Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or an equivalent certifying body.

4. Skills:

   • Strong reading writing and analytical skills.
   • Ability to operate general laboratory equipment including but not limited to telephones computers automated analyzers centrifuges microscopes manual and automated pipettes and audible alarms.
