The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Companys only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine with over 800 employees that support the mine.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for achieving mining operational targets to ensure the operation is delivered safely and successfully
- Organizing planning resourcing and managing mining activities and ensuring the health safety training environmental and quality systems positively comply
- Assisting with delivering cost efficiencies understating commercial requirements of the operation and providing leadership
- Coordinate different disciplines to deliver efficient and safe production
- Establish production targets and monitor their achievement and address issues as they arise
- Assist the Mining Manager with the safe delivery of the underground operation
- Review data such as mine plans survey reports and geological records and meet with engineering maintenance and supervisory section to plan the mine production
- Develop and execute the overall strategy for mine production based on input from other sections
- Identify options and implement actions to adopt best practices for mine production
- Understand operating plans detailing documentation administration financial and commercial processes
- Lead the Production Mining teams clearly and professionally ensuring that each individual team member has an understanding of their daily weekly and monthly tasks
- Assign tasks to a person that is trained competent and authorized to perform the tasks
- Ensure that training is provided to meet the current and future needs of the mine
Qualifications :

- Licensed Mining/Civil Engineer
- Minimum 3 years of Mining management / Superintendent experience
- With 7 years of experience in an underground mining environment
- With a valid Professional Drivers license

- Develops and fosters relationships across cultures and with key internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to deliver against strategic mine plans execute those plans and deliver significant results
- In-depth technical experience in metalliferous mining
