About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Lead to manage design and oversee the administration performance and optimization of our SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in BASIS administration system upgrades migrations and cloud integration along with proven leadership skills to guide a team of SAP technical professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage SAP BASIS operations across development QA and production environments.
Oversee installation configuration and maintenance of SAP systems (ECC S/4HANA BW/4HANA Solution Manager PO GRC Fiori etc.).
Plan and execute system upgrades patches refreshes and migrations (on-premise and cloud).
Ensure high availability performance tuning and disaster recovery planning for SAP systems.
Manage and monitor transport management systems (TMS) and change control processes.
Collaborate with infrastructure security and application teams to ensure system integrity and compliance.
Lead performance troubleshooting root cause analysis and proactive monitoring initiatives.
Oversee user administration authorizations and security audits in coordination with functional leads.
Manage vendor relationships coordinate with SAP support for OSS incidents and apply SAP Notes.
Define and enforce BASIS policies procedures and best practices.
Mentor and guide junior BASIS administrators and ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
1015 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration with at least 35 years in a lead or architect role.
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA HANA DB Fiori Solution Manager (7.2) and SAP Cloud Connector.
Strong knowledge of OS (Linux/Windows/Unix) and DB (HANA Oracle SQL Server MaxDB) environments.
Experience in SAP migrations (OS/DB) HANA upgrades SAP Cloud (Azure AWS GCP) and SAP BTP integration.
Expertise in system performance tuning high availability (HA/DR) setups and backup/recovery strategies.
Familiarity with SAP security concepts and GRC integration.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management abilities.
