Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Manager Rehabilitation Services and/or their Designate(s) and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission Values and Management Philosophy of the St. Boniface Hospital the Rehabilitation Porter is responsible for: transporting and transferring patients charts and related equipment; assisting with preparing patients for therapy when requested; maintaining schedules of all patient appointments; maintaining and cleaning equipment; and performing other related duties as assigned.
Experience
- Six (6) months experience in a hospital or equivalent health care setting as a patient porter or in a related care position.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to read write speak and understand English.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy patients/equipment.
