JOB SUMMARY

The Retail Buyer is responsible for selecting purchasing and managing gift merchandise for retail locations. They will assist the retail division team in the revenue margin and inventory management of retail product across multiple properties / locations. They will also assist with sourcing and developing innovative product to achieve financial goals and support and enhance each Caesars owned brand within the retail division of Caesars Entertainment. Additionally they will provide strong administrative support utilizing retail systems to successfully deliver a product assortment to exceed the expectations of Caesars guests.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

  • Strategize around methodology to drive gross profit by managing vendor matrix and direct deliveries versus central distribution

  • Development of pre-season annual sales & margin goals for retail stores and in season forecasting in line with performance.

  • Produce weekly snapshot reports to communicate to retail senior leadership team on bi/weekly basis

  • Partner with corporate analytics to develop performance metrics to produce meaningful analysis

  • Partner with distribution center and operations to manage product flow and daily/twice daily deliveries to Las Vegas stores to maintain pre-agreed inventory levels.

  • Work with retail senior leadership team to identify areas of growth in product or real estate.

  • Strategically plan promotions by store month for at least 6 months in advance

  • Monitor sales daily to identify promotional or other revenue driving opportunities

  • Partner with vendors for FF&E equipment and collateral to drive incremental revenue

  • Identify new and existing market trends that can be profitably and efficiently executed.

  • Quickly identify top and bottom selling product and develop appropriate action plan to maximize revenue and margin.

  • Identify new product or margin opportunities to Corporate Sourcing

  • Increase employee engagement by providing and communicating product knowledge seminars for the field

  • Coordinate vendor training/ special events / personal appearances to drive revenue

  • Develop assortment plans for all new stores and partner with all departments for store set up

  • Responsible for the training and development of all direct reports.

  • Key Performance Metrics

  • Exceed budget for revenue and margin.

  • Effective cross-functional collaboration with all verticals

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Experience in retail buying required.
  • Degree in merchandising or marketing preferred but not required.
  • Ability to drive product assortment strategies across multiple locations.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize activities.

  • Proven track record of exceeding goals.

  • Strong understanding of retail finance and key performance drivers.

  • Strong understanding of trends in relevant departments.

  • Ability to develop and build a strong team of motivated merchants.

  • Must be able to speak read write and understand English.
