Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Lead Crating and Shipping Specialist to oversee our packaging crating and shipping operations. This person will ensure that all outgoing products are packaged securely meet quality standards and are shipped on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily crating and shipping operations to ensure timely accurate deliveries.
- Supervise and train team members on proper packing labeling and documentation procedures.
- Build and assemble custom crates for oversized or sensitive equipment.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with carriers and freight companies.
- Maintain accurate shipping records bills of lading and inventory counts.
- Monitor supplies and order materials as needed.
- Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in crating packaging or shipping (lead or supervisory experience preferred).
- Knowledge of freight shipping packaging materials and crating tools.
- Ability to read blueprints or packing specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift certification a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
