Clark College is currently accepting applications for a full-time Tenure-track Advanced Manufacturing Professor whose primary teaching duties include providing students with engaging presentations dynamic lab equipment demonstrations industrial automation hands- on experience and helping to build student confidence and life-long learning habits. Department and College service work is expected with this position (as assigned by the division or College) to support the institutional mission and goals foremost being diversity equity and inclusion and student success and retention. The successful candidate will join a cohesive team of instructors to fulfill the needs of a growing department. This position begins on January 5 2026 or soon thereafter.
Clark College recently completed a multi-million-dollar facility at its Boschma Farms (Ridgefield) Center. The Center opened its doors in October 2024 with the first cohort of Advanced Manufacturing students starting their coursework during the Fall 2025 term. The successful candidate will lead the Advanced Manufacturing Department and shape the curriculum with the support of colleagues from other appropriate WPTE departments.
The Advanced Manufacturing Department offers an Associate of Applied Technology a Certificate of Proficiency (Manufacturing Operator) and a Certificate of Achievement (Intro to Manufacturing). Primary teaching duties include Manual Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing Welding Robotics Applied Metrology Computer Aided Machining Systems Integration and Blueprint and Schematics Reading. The successful candidate will play an integral role in leading the department and in ensuring the relevancy and alignment of the Advanced Manufacturing Program with current industry standards along with the development and implementation of the vision of the manufacturing-related programs at Clark College.

POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide lab coordination including instructional equipment support equipment purchasing and storage functions.
Establish safety procedures for proper handling storage and disposal of equipment tools and hazardous materials and responsibility for training safely maintaining and disposing of waste.

Starting salary is $80677 (non-negotiable). Faculty may be eligible to advance every other year; current top step is $113642. Salary is for a 173-day contract; additional compensation is available for summer and moonlight teaching and doctoral and vocational stipends.
