Are you passionate about precision engineering and sales Do you thrive in a fast-paced customer-focused environment where technical expertise drives real-world solutions TRUMPF a global leader in industrial machine tools is looking for an Engineering Sales Specialist to support and grow our CNC punch and press brake tooling sales.
This is a full-time onsite position offering a unique blend of engineering customer interaction and sales strategy in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
What Youll Do
As an Engineering Sales Specialist youll be a critical liaison between our customers sales team and tooling engineers. Youll bring technical expertise and excellent communication skills to every interaction ensuring our clients get the best tooling solutions for their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide detailed technical sales support and prepare quotations for CNC punch and press brake tooling.
Collaborate with tooling design engineers and the sales team to deliver accurate pricing and lead times for custom tooling.
Engage directly with customers via phone email and in-person meetings to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Analyze customer specifications blueprints and CAD files to ensure tool compatibility and performance.
Calculate load requirements and verify product specifications to ensure tooling meets TRUMPF and customer standards.
Required Experience:
Were looking for someone whos equally comfortable discussing CAD drawings as they are presenting to a client. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation in sheet metal fabrication and a customer-first mindset.
Hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication especially in tooling for punching forming and bending applications.
Ability to conceptualize punch & die designs based on customer requirements.
Familiarity with TRUMPF punch and press brake equipment; knowledge of TruTops software is a strong plus.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints CAD files and product specs.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written with a solution-oriented approach.
Experience with SolidWorks SAP and MS Excel is preferred.
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of technical experience in tooling or sheet metal fabrication required.
