Heres What You Need
Education:
Nursing Diploma or
Associate Degree in Nursing required
BSN preferred
Experience:
One (1) year experience as a clinical Registered Nurse or completion of an RN Residency program required
Current Cath Lab/EP Lab experience strongly preferred
Licensure and Certifications:
RN- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required and
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required and
Skills:
A high degree of confidentiality positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act serve as a role model intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs and demonstrates recognition and understanding of patients affiliations
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift inter-hospital and while expediting out of hospital transfers

Work hours:Full-time 36 hours weekly Monday-Friday; 3-12 hr. shifts
Department highlights:
Our dedicated and progressive team in our Cath Lab department cares for adult patients with Cardiac Peripheral
Vascular or Electrophysiology related disease. We are open Monday-Friday and our lab includes nine bays and two procedure rooms averaging 20 cases per day.
We are a Mission: Lifeline Receiving Center Joint Commission certified in chest pain heart failure and stroke and Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) for echocardiography and vascular testing.
