Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the administration of global IT server systems and related infrastructure ensuring their health performance availability and resilience through preventive activities. The role involves participating in and leading projects within the System Administration scope providing second-level support for local Service Desk teams across various geographical locations and coordinating the escalation of incidents to next-level support companies following up until the final resolution. Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously are essential for developing daily and project activities. The role requires well-organized and structured skills to achieve team objectives. Flexibility to work outside of business hours is necessary if project schedules or maintenance activities demand it.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance activities conduct health checks and resolve or report any potential issues to the appropriate partner for resolution or mitigation.
- Manage projects related to system administration platforms
- Support IT global colleagues in various projects and activities
- Provide second level support for local Service Desk teams
- Perform backup management activities
- Coordinate and manage incidents globally with other global teams
- Conduct testing lab activities for new security patches system versions software to be installed globally.
- Manage documentation to ensure system information is up to date for reference purposes
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree in IT or relevant certifications from leading technology companies such as Microsoft VMWARE AWS and/or Oracle
- 5 years of experience in Microsoft platform administration (Windows OS)
- 2 years of experience in IT project management
- Experience in Microsoft Service administration (such as DNS AD DHCP)
- Experience in Amazon Web Services administration
- Backup platforms knowledge and expertise (such as Veeam)
- SQL Server backup and restore management
- VMWARE administration (VLAN DataStores DRS)
- Monitoring Services Management
- Public/Private Cloud Management
Preferred Qualifications/Professional Experiences/Years of Experience:
- Database Administration (SQL Server)
- Certification in VMWare AWS administration and any other professional certifications in the system administration workspace
- IT network and related network security expertise
