M&J Engineering is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector with FDOT CEI experience in South Florida. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves turning insights into action. We are seeking a highly experienced professional responsible for ensuring that construction projects align with FDOT plans specifications and codes. They manage and coordinate lower-level inspectors conduct inspections and maintain records. Specifically they monitor on-site construction activities inspect materials and ensure conformance with the projects requirements. They also play a crucial role in monitoring and inspecting Work Zone Traffic Control Plans including alternate plans.

Responsibilities
- Inspecting Construction Work: Ensuring adherence to plans specifications and codes.
- Coordinating and Managing Inspectors: Supervising and directing lower-level inspectors.
- Maintaining Records: Keeping detailed records of daily operations and significant events.
- Monitoring Work Zone Traffic Control: Ensuring compliance with FDOTs Work Zone Traffic Control Plan.
- Inspecting Materials: Verifying that materials entering the work site meet project requirements.
- Performing Inspections: Conducting field inspections and maintaining records.
- Performing technical assignments: field surveying and construction layout marking and checking engineering computations inspecting construction work and conducting field tests
- Project Administration Manual: Familiarity with and adherence to the Construction Project Administration Manual (CPAM).
Qualifications
- Must have Construction Inspection experience in Florida and preferably Roadway or Bridge construction experience.
- Valid U.S. Drivers License.
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I
- CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
- CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
- CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
- FDOT Intermediate MOT
- IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
- Nuclear Radiation Safety
- Florida Stormwater Erosion and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
- Preferred FDOT experience.
