WasherDryer Operator

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for loading unloading and operating the washers and dryers.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Sorts soiled linens properly to prepare them for washing.

• Weighs linen to assure proper weight for specific machines.

• Manually loads/unloads washers-extractors with linens.

• Operates washing machines with correct formulas to assure safe and efficient use.

• Moves hangs and removes 100 pound laundry bags on the six foot high monorail systems.

• Manually loads/unloads tumbler equipment.

• Operates tumbler equipment with appropriate temperature and drying cycle settings.

• Performs a ph-balance test on every completed wash load.

• Pushes 3 foot high cart filled with wet linen to the folding machine.

• Logs every load of wash on washing clipboard.

• Weighs correct amount of chemicals to be added to the wash load.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred

• Prefer previous demonstrated success in a laundry position

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to add subtract multiply divide and count up to 50

• Team Player with a strong commitment to success and great communication skills and customer service skills to collaborate effectively with other team members and leadership

• Collaboration skills to work well with others and understand direction from supervisor

• Comprehension skills with the ability to speak and understand basic English and ability to understand and adhere to policies procedures and safety guidelines

• Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

• Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory company and department policies and procedures

PHYSICAL MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

• Sorting area - Ability to unload trailer and push pull up to 900lbs of dirty linen

• Tie area (Shipping) Ability to load the trailers with 900 -1000lbs of linen

• Terry area Ability to separate and feed terry to machine or fold/stack and place on conveyer. Max lifting 25 lbs.

• Ironer area - Ability pull sheets from bin with 25 to 30 pound of pressure.

• Ability to constantly bend over lift push and pull 50-100 pounds.

• Ability to carry 20 pounds one hundred feet.

• Ability to smell

• Manual dexterity including using buttons knobs levers and hooks.

• Ability to sort linen by color and fabric content.

• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time

• Ability to have color distinction and hand-eye coordination

• Ability to grasp reach bend twist stoop and climb ladders.

• Ability to freely move about the work area

• Ability to work in a hot humid and noisy environment with variations in temperature

• Ability to tolerate dust
