SUMMARY
The Cybersecurity Intern contributes to the ongoing development and advancement of the firms cybersecurity and risk program. The Cybersecurity and Risk team is charged with upholding the confidentiality and integrity of firm data systems and facilities in compliance with organizational policies and standards. Members of this team are nimble and enjoy wearing multiple hats. A Cybersecurity Intern at GCM Grosvenor should expect to spend time investigating cybersecurity events and alerts managing and maintaining security tools partnering with other groups in technology to address vulnerabilities and researching best practices around new technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The summer intern will be involved in the following critical activities:
Investigating documenting and reporting on information security events and alerts.
Participate in key cybersecurity projects and overall implementation of CIS 18.
Utilizing managing and maintaining common security toolset (Endpoint protection IDS/IPS vulnerability & threat management platform intelligence platforms SIEM etc.) to identify issues and analyze compliance with existing policies and procedures.
Monitor and report on the controls for the firms information and technology systems.
Partner with other teams in technology to mature and maintain security posture and controls.
Manage and tune existing security infrastructure to automate threat alerting ticket creation intelligent anomaly detection and metrics reporting.
Document procedures technical project requirements diagrams and controls as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel Word and Visio

Interest in cybersecurity and learning CIS Framework
Interest in financial services and/or investment management a plus
Studying Information Technology a plus

Actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individuals experience skills and qualifications for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on factors such as individual team and company performance as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
