Job Summary
Summary of Duties
The Crossing Guard ensures the safe crossing of students and other pedestrians at designated crosswalks during school arrival and dismissal times. Responsibilities include stopping traffic when necessary following all traffic safety regulations maintaining visibility and acting as a positive role model for safety.
Key Responsibilities
Assist students and pedestrians in safely crossing streets.
Use provided safety equipment (vest stop sign whistle) as required.
Remain alert to traffic weather and surroundings.
Report safety concerns to school administration.
Work Conditions
Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Short shifts before and after school hours.
