Summary

Financial Analyst I FP&A working under the Senior FP&A Manager for the USA Defense & Space organization at CAE USA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform Monthly departmental budget analysis

  • Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements balance sheets and prepares reports on findings to inform budgeting and cost recommendations to management.

  • Conducts cadenced and ad hoc financial and economic analysis and forecasting through use of financial models and evaluates alternate financial plans

  • Develop and implement strategies to best utilize the financial information systems available to provide the most accurate timely and reliable sources for financial reporting and analysis

  • Support monthly financial forecasting and annual financial planning processes

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in finance Accounting or related business field

  • Experience analyzing and reporting data

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite

  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong critical thinking with the ability to develop solutions to complex challenges

  • Excellent communications and organizational skills

  • Ability to research organize and analyze financial data

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint. SQL knowledge is a plus

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task as required

  • Ability to work independently on special projects

  • Ability to work in

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials in any form. Shall not divulge any information or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.

Must be able to perform in an in office setting as well as a remote setting with little oversight

  • Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting standing and walking.

  • Shifts and/or schedules may change throughout the year as dictated by management and business needs

  • May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time

  • May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard

  • Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs
