**If you do not have Operations Management experience please refer to our other open positions: This position can work fully remotely but new hires will be required to come to our main office located in Perrysburg OH for an initial 2-week in-person paid orientation and training period.


Position Description:


WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO AS A Business Analyst AT SIGMA:

Directs and manages the day-to-day activities of an organizations operations typically through subordinate operations managers. Full operational ownership of the program(s) to which they are assigned to lead superior team performance while meeting time budget and quality metrics. Implements company policies procedures and initiatives. Evaluate and enhance current operational systems. Monitors performance against operational goals and develops reporting and auditing processes used to analyze operational effectiveness. Coordinates operations with other functions.


Responsibilities:

Takes full operational leadership of individual and team performance holding oneself and the team accountable for results.

Effectively manages human and material resources including personnel schedules scope and process adherence and work assignments to optimize productivity while ensuring a quality project is delivered.

Clearly communicates and works closely with team members to ensure they are aligned with program goals and deadlines leveraging individual strengths in pursuit of common goals.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate team efforts provide guidance and direction to team members and the ability to establish and sustain relationships with colleagues and employees at all levels in the company.

Demonstrated leadership skills in motivating and influencing others as well as skills and experience in team building and conflict management.

Collaborates on multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment overseeing the creation and streamlining of operational processes to meet performance metrics.

Demonstrates a relentless commitment to achieving operational goals while maintaining ethical behavior and building trust.

Encourages innovative problem-solving overcoming obstacles and finding creative solutions to solve difficult problems.

Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in the face of changing conditions always maintaining focus on the end goals.

Proactively identifies barriers and challenges early and takes steps to mitigate and overcome.

Makes independent and timely decisions in changing conditions within their defined span of control ensuring adherence to quality standards and company policy taking appropriate calculated risks.

Provides guidance to team members with clear expectations driving clear accountability and responsibility structures.

Consistently measure team success and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to optimize performance.

Supports the growth and development of individuals and teams making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and development ensuring individuals have access to a variety of training opportunities and individualized development plans that align with their career aspirations and the organizations needs.

Spearheads the recruitment and selection process to assemble high-performing teams that align with Sigmas values and growth goals.

Implements retention and succession planning and strategies to ensure team members are engaged motivated and committed to Sigmas mission.

Oversees the development and implementation of quality control and quality assurance.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements


Education A Bachelors degree is preferred but management will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience - 8 years of experience with engineering operations and /or project management including financial oversight and personnel development. 3 years of management experience with the proven ability to lead motivate and influence associates.

Second-level management experience is required (i.e. direct management of managers).

Experience in project scheduling cost controls tracking and reporting methodologies.

Ability to develop plans and organize work to ensure efforts are focused resources are aligned progress is monitored and targets are met.

Knowledge of financial principles to quantify costs and benefits of projects to track and maintain project budgets.

Demonstrated business management skills including consulting customer service and business acumen.

Ability to analyze information form conclusions and provide meaningful solutions.

Experience in the application of Project Management Institute project management techniques or equivalent.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate team efforts provide guidance and direction to team members and the ability to establish and sustain relationships with colleagues and employees at all levels in the company.

Demonstrated skill in motivating and influencing others as well as skills and experience in team building and conflict management.

Available during the core work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time and occasional evening and weekend work may be required as duties demand.

Willing and able to travel regularly including overnight travel.

Dependable transportation a valid drivers license and insurance

Able to pass a background check/drug test/driving record check

Computer literate especially Microsoft Word Excel Outlook

Authorized to work in the United States


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to endure frequent/lengthy: Driving standing walking long distances (5 miles or more in a day) navigating rough terrain on foot and lifting/balancing objects that may weigh up to 20 lbs. and require the use of upper extremities and back muscles; work in proximity to moving vehicles in the right of way.

Must be able to endure frequent lengthy periods of sedentary work and sit for prolonged periods of time.

Must be able to utilize a computer keyboard computer monitor and telephone for prolonged periods of time.

Must have the physical ability to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures transcribing notes and viewing a computer terminal; these activities require close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Must have the physical ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word and convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately often in a group setting.

Must have the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in sound.
