Job Summary

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent).
  • BE/BC in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
  • Experience in transplant pulmonology is encouraged.
  • Strong clinical and teaching skills.
  • Eligible to obtain an independent license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland.
  • Interest in pre- and post-transplant-related clinical and/or translational research is encouraged.

Lung Transplant/Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine ()

The Division of Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a full-time pulmonologist and critical care physician to join our expanding team. This hybrid position will cover our MICUs at the University of Maryland Medical Center Downtown and Midtown Campus locations as well as participate in our inpatient and ambulatory pulmonary practices and may include our advanced lung disease service which cares for pre- and post-lung transplant patients. The lung transplant program is centered at the University of Maryland Medical Center and is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of professionals focused on providing exceptional care to patients with critical lung illnesses and developing cutting-edge treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care in MICUs at the University of Maryland Medical Center Downtown and Midtown Campus.
  • Participate in inpatient and ambulatory pulmonary practices.
  • Contribute to the lung transplant program.
  • Engage in teaching and clinical research activities.
