The Mayo Clinic in Arizona Department of Radiation Oncology seeks an early career physician scientist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Qualified new graduates will be considered. The candidate should be a board-eligible/certified radiation oncologist. Responsibilities include leading basic science/translation research efforts education of trainees and staff and participating in clinical practice.
The Department of Radiation Oncology currently has 16 staff physicians. Physics support and treatment planning is provided by eleven PhD physicists seven MS physicists and seventeen dosimetrists. State-of-the-art equipment include four Varian TrueBeam accelerators three CT simulators with 4D capability four Hitachi proton gantries and ongoing programs in SRS SBRT TBI TSE HDR brachytherapy and IORT.
