As part of our growth we are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Production Planning Engineer to strengthen our operations and ensure smooth efficient and timely production execution.
Role Summary
The Senior Production Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing monitoring and optimizing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining optimal inventory and resource utilization. This role requires close coordination with supply chain procurement production and quality teams to align daily operations with customer requirements and organizational goals
Develop and manage Master Production Schedules (MPS) based on customer orders forecasts and material availability.
Execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and ensure raw materials and components are available on time.
Coordinate with the Procurement and Stores teams to address shortages and expedite critical materials.
Analyze capacity constraints lead times and production bottlenecks to ensure efficient workflow.
Track daily production progress and update schedules to reflect changes in demand or manufacturing conditions.
Work with the Quality and Maintenance departments to minimize downtime and improve equipment utilization.
Drive continuous improvement in production planning accuracy and responsiveness.
Maintain data accuracy in ERP/Planning systemsincluding BOMs routing and lead times.
Prepare and present weekly/monthly reports on plan adherence capacity utilization and inventory performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support New Product Introductions (NPI) and engineering changes.
Lead initiatives for Lean manufacturing and process optimization within the planning function.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of production planning scheduling and inventory control in a manufacturing setup.
Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP Oracle or equivalent).
Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel Pivot Tables and data-driven decision-making.
Excellent coordination communication and stakeholder management skills.
Sound understanding of manufacturing processes capacity management and supply chain flow.
Ability to identify issues proactively and drive timely resolutions.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in APICS / CPIM / CSCP is an added advantage.
Exposure to sensor / electronics / precision manufacturing industries.
Experience in implementing Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:
B.E/ in Mechanical Industrial or Production Engineering (MBA in Operations preferred)
