DescriptionYou will be responsible for technical consulting and system architecture of integrated OT-IT solutions for customers during the whole solution lifetime with the primary focus on pre-sales design evolution and expansion phases:
- Assess customers OT-IT landscape shape solution proposals and design high-level concepts pilots or demos that validate feasibility and value in pre-sales stage in collaboration with sales and manufacturing consulting teams.
- Design scalable OT-IT solution architectures aligned to Advanced Solutions reference models.
- Define architecture blueprints that integrate Omron platforms and Customer platforms (existing/upcoming).
- Develop system specifications interface maps and integration standards across OT and IT layers.
- Support site-level deployment data acquisition strategies and real-time monitoring implementations.
- Guide cross-functional teams during delivery ensuring standardization scalability and maintainability.
- Validate deployed systems during stabilization to ensure architecture assumptions (e.g. latency security scalability) hold in production.
- Act as an expert during operations expansion and potential migration ensuring solution architecture remains aligned with evolving business and compliance needs.
- Work with cybersecurity experts to ensure secure deployment of OT-IT systems per industry best practices compliance to IEC 62443 / NIS2 legislation.
- Professional documentation of system diagrams integration specs SOPs functional design documents.
Requirements - Bachelors degree or masters degree in engineering
- Certified OPC Professional (COPC)/ Ignition Core Certification/ ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Certificates/ Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer/ TOGAF 9 Certification
- 8 years of experience as a system architect in a three-layer architecture that integrates IT OT and EDGE (SCADA PLCs MES and IIoT)
- 35 years of direct experience in IT/OT convergence projects within discrete manufacturing sectors (Automotive Food Consumer Packaged Goods Medical/Pharma)
- Strong background integrating plant floor systems with enterprise IT platforms (ERP CloudAnalytics)
- Security: Knowledge of OT Security architecture Zoning and segmentation.
- Data enablement: Working knowledge of data pipelines historians and edge analytics.
- Experience with Lean / TPM / 4M-focused architectures is a major advantage
- Experience with IT Data solutions is an advantage
- Good Communication & Presentation skills with an eye for details.
- Strong desire to learn continuously
- Self-motivated and challenging
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and able to work independently
- Strong problem-solving mentality skill
- more than 50% of travelling within APAC occasional global travelling.
