Job Summary

AWAHS is seeking a dedicated Child and Family Health Nurse to deliver culturally sensitive community-based care to Aboriginal children (06 years) and their families across the Albury Wodonga region.
Join a multidisciplinary Maternal Health team committed to providing first-class holistic health care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver universal and sustained home visiting programs to families with newborns
- Conduct health surveillance and screening for children aged 06
- Support parenting through education counselling and group sessions
- Promote early intervention and health promotion
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver integrated care
- Participate in immunisation programs
- Advocate for culturally safe healthcare practices and environments
- Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- Graduate Certificate in Child and Family Health Nursing (or equivalent)
- Desirable: Midwifery registration and postgraduate qualifications in Child and Family Health
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities and a commitment to community development
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organisational skills
- Current drivers licence and clearances (WWCC Police Check)
