Cybersecurity Engineer

What success looks like in this role:

Design and implement security architectures policies and procedures.

Monitor and analyze security incidents and alerts to identify potential threats.

Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.

Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software development practices.

Implement and manage security tools and technologies (e.g. firewalls intrusion detection systems).

Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees.

Respond to security breaches and incidents conducting post-incident analyses.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

BA/BS degree and 0-2 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Computer Science or a related field.

years of experience in cybersecurity or related roles.

Strong understanding of security protocols cryptography and network security.

Experience with security tools (e.g. SIEM IDS/IPS vulnerability scanners).

Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g. NIST ISO 27001 GDPR).

Preferred Skills:

Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP CEH CISM etc.) are a plus.

Knowledge of cloud security practices and technologies.

Experience with incident response and forensic analysis.
