Our staff work in partnership with schools GPs hospitals non-government agencies and other organisations to provide care across our centres in peoples homes other community venues as well as virtual care (telehealth).
Are you passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of children and families We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Child and Family Health Nursing (CFHN) service an integral part of primary health care. This role focuses on promoting optimal health growth and development for children aged 05 years and their families through compassionate evidence-based care.
As a Registered Nurse in Child and Family Health you will work in partnership with families and the multidisciplinary team to assess plan implement and evaluate nursing care that aligns with the goals of each child and their family. Using a strengths-based family partnership approach and guided by the principles of Primary Health Care you will collaborate with clients carers and families to deliver client-centred care that is both safe and effective.
This comprehensive role involves health assessment prevention early identification and intervention referral health promotion community development and education. You will be part of a supportive team committed to improving outcomes for children and empowering families through high-quality nursing care.

Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent (applicants race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised by Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 NSW) and a demonstrated ability to effectively and sensitively liaise with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and the local Aboriginal communities.
Current registration as Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA
Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in provision of care to children aged 0-5 years and their families/carers as a registered nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or 12 months full time equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)
Demonstrated evidence of working within a multidisciplinary team to facilitate the care planning for families with complex needs.
Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work and an ability to effectively work both within a team and effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to professional development evidence based practice and an awareness of changes within the health care environment
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise information technology systems within a variety of applications (e.g. Cerner) and commitment to undertake training in electronic health record systems as required
Current NSW State drivers licence (including P1 or above) and willingness to use for work purposes. This may include driving long distances across the LHD
