Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for an Electronics Technician for a client that focuses on renewable energy prototypes. This position is a contract- temporary position that will have a 3-6 months duration. This is an exciting opportunity to work on brand-new technology in the renewable energy space!

PAY: $35-$40/hr

Electronics Technician Responsibilities:

Production verification testing of PCB & assemblies.
Using soldering irons heat guns and reflow oven for PCB soldering desoldering rework and hand build units.
Mechanical build of the PCB assemblies.
Assembling wiring harnesses cutting wires crimping ring terminals or ferrules soldering connector pins to solder cups applying heat-shrink and tug-testing of a variety of cables and wire harnesses.
Applying thermal paste to bolted assembly interfaces.
Cleaning flux dirt and dust off of mechanical components and electrical PCBs.
Inspection of the quality of the work by others & self.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Electronics Technician Qualifications:

Have significant (at least 3 years) hands-on experience building modifying testing and troubleshooting printed circuit board assemblies with both through-hole and surface mount components.
Have experience working in environments with high voltage electronics and fabricating cable assemblies.
Have experience with thermal paste application.
Have the ability to follow work instructions with precision.
Candidate must have strong knowledge of tools and equipment used in electronics fabrication and testing (soldering iron reflow oven hot air rework station optical microscope common hand tools digital multimeter oscilloscopes adjustable power supplies).
Mechanical assembly experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to be on your feet for up to 8 hours per day and occasionally lift objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
Prior Engineering Technician experience is a plus.
