Position Description Summary
Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for temporary faculty positions (full-time one semester part-time one semester or part-time academic year) as needs arise in the Department of Counseling and Educational Leadership for the Curriculum and Instruction Program. The Curriculum and Instruction program allows students to enhance pedagogical knowledge and skills to learn more about at risk students and to design instructional materials that engage young learners and improve student outcomes: Based on the specific needs of the department at the time of appointment a successful applicant must be qualified to teach graduate level courses. Courses may include: Curriculum Theory and Design Classroom Environment Projects Readings and Case Studies Cognition Motivation and Social Skills Topics in Education Educational Research and Writing and/or other related courses. Duties
ESSENTIAL / SPECIFIC DUTIES Candidates will be expected to plan and deliver instruction through multiple modes of instruction including: face to face asynchronous synchronous distance education or multi-modal/dual-location addition to teaching classes temporary faculty are expected to hold office hours engage with departmental faculty attend department meetings complete scholarly activities related to the position and engage in service activities.
