  • Part-time (0.8 FTE) and continuing commencing in February 2026 in the School of Health and Social Development
  • Level B $108804 - $% Superannuation (pro rata part time)

Who are we

The Faculty of Health is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching learning creativity social development and groundbreaking research and discovery. We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-word impact. This role will specifically be working within the School of Health and Social Development.

About the role:

The Lecturer Occupational Therapy will lead unit teaching teams in UG and/or PG programs to continuously improve the student learning experience and deliver unit learning outcomes. The role involves initiating designing and conducting high-quality research scholarship and creative activities generating impactful outcomes.

As a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy you will:

  • Engage collaboratively with other unit teaching teams in the course to develop effective unit curricula and learning resources (including through unit leadership roles).
  • Contribute to the review of units and courses and implement refinements.
  • Assist in applying industry clinical and/or research practice into student learning experiences success engagement and resources.
  • Maintain deep discipline knowledge which is applied to inform unit design.
  • Contribute effectively to a culture of educational excellence.
  • Support and may lead applications for research and creative activities including applications for external competitive funding external funding for commercialization and other funding activities
  • Build a national reputation based on a growing focused body of work recognised for quality excellence and impact.

To be successful youll have:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
  • Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated experience in occupational therapy practice
  • Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs including innovative curriculum design
  • Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications and/or exhibitions and/or success in obtaining external research funding.
  • Knowledge understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and contemporary issues related to First Nations Peoples.
