Job Description
We are looking for a talented Game Artist to work on one of the biggest game titles in the world. Youll be joining a vibrant game studio in Stockholm with an ambition to inspire generations to come and build a better tomorrow.
As a Game Artist youll work in a cross-functional environment and contribute to the creation of in-game content and features. The team is looking for a skilled artist with great pixel art skills someone collaborative well-organized and self-propelled with the ability to deliver world-class art.
What youll be doing
- Deliver all types of art needed in your team: concept art pixel art 2D textures 3D art and animations
- As a full member take part in the cross-functional team processes for example ideation planning and pipeline management
- Work with leadership and peers from the creative crafts and others to follow the vision style and direction of the game
- Communicate and document your progression results and insights in an effective and sustainable way
- Develop both existing and new personal capabilities to support the team
- Grow a healthy collaborative fun and creative studio culture
What theyre looking for
- Strong ability to create concepts (sketches 3D paintings etc.) to communicate visual ideas
- Skills and experience in creating pixel art
- Previous experience creating game art as part of a released or in-development game project
- Ability to do basic animations and 3D models in a defined stylized art direction
- Good understanding of the principles of art; like color theory shapes form lighting texturing
- An ability to adapt to a specific style and narrative
- An ability to communicate and contextualize ideas and artistic work both in writing and verbally
- Highly organized efficient able to manage production pipelines and familiar with working in an agile environment
- A collaborative mindset someone who cares about people and can help build an inclusive open and friendly work environment
- Fluent in English (spoken and in writing)
The fine print
- Location: On-site Stockholm or remote within GMT1
- Contract: temporary role 11 months via ALLY
- Start: As soon as possible
