Job Description
Electrical Design Engineer / Power Systems Engineer / Electrical Project Engineer required to join a manufacturer and solutions provider specialising in emergency power CHP (Combined Heat & Power) and energy systems based near Rotherham.
The successful Electrical Design Engineer will design develop and support electrical distribution and control systems for power generation projects across the UK ensuring compliance with technical safety and industry standards.
Youll have a strong background in electrical design within the power generation or energy industry with hands-on experience in power distribution switchgear HV systems and generator applications. EPLAN experience is essential.

Up to 50000 depending on experience
Based near Rotherham

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical distribution and control systems for power generation projects
Produce electrical schematics panel layouts and single-line diagrams using EPLAN
Ensure all designs comply with UK regulations and client specifications
Prepare technical documentation bills of materials and design records
Liaise with project production and site teams to ensure effective design delivery
Requirements
Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer / Power Systems Engineer / Electrical Project Engineer or similar
Strong understanding of power distribution switchgear and HV systems (e.g. 11kV)
Proficient with EPLAN for producing electrical design documentation
Holds a formal electrical engineering qualification (e.g. HNC HND or Degree)
Must be commutable to Rotherham
