Operate forklifts manipulate materials and finished goods supply production load and un-load trucks. Perform other duties as per request within agreed job competences.
Responsibilities
- Operates a forklift or other lifting devices to transport load unload product and materials around the plant.
- Preparation of goods for shipment in advance based upon issued documents.
- Assists in receiving checking documenting and storing incoming products
- Assists in conducting physical inventories
- Perform routine equipment servicing/control such as attaching a battery charger and checking for safety of operations.
- Responsible for the receipt recording and disbursement of materials and supplies.
- Loading bay to be kept tidy and in good condition.
- Follow all safety rules procedures and instructions.
- Use PPE and safety equipment as required.
- Report unsafe conditions equipment or practices to supervisors immediately.
- Participate in safety training and drills.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to minimize hazards.
Qualifications Education and Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift certified
