We are currently looking for a System IVVQ engineer to join Thales Land and Air Systems in its NAS Center of Competence Gorgonzola (near Milan).
As System IVVQ engineer within Thales you will be involved with Integration Verification Validation Qualification of NAVAIDS products (mainly in the domains of Radio Frequency engineering and Embedded Systems) by:
Support the IVVQ Manager in the definition of IVVQ strategy and generation of associated estimates and schedule
Propose IVVQ testing methods acceptance criteria and manage their implementation
Clear and timely communication of design non-compliances to the team and wider internal/external stakeholders. Be part of technical event (problem report) board
Prepare System IVVQ activities
Execute IVVQ activities either on-site at Gorgonzola or at the customers premises to deliver the evidence of compliance with requirements
Analyse test results and/or data and produce technical reports
Highlight any technical risk associated with the IVVQ phase to the Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM) and Product Design Authority (PDA) proposing any suitable actions to mitigate and manage IVVQ risks
Liaise with the PDA and Architect to ensure that IVVQ is in line with the design and is compliant with all requirements
Support capitalisation activities for the department as well as lessons learned Ensure unambiguous testability of requirements
Profile:
You graduated from an Engineering School with a Masters degree and you have 2 or more years experience in IVVQ
You have a good understanding of IVVQ strategies and philosophies
You have experience of test activities formal verification or validation activities
You are an effective team player who can interface at all levels across the organization
You are able to operate successfully in a multi-cultural environment working effectively with teams distributed across different sites/countries
You have strong organizational and team working skills
You have an excellent verbal and written communication skills good negotiation skills and a recognized capacity to influence all types of stakeholders
You enjoy thinking outside the box and being creative
Competencies:
Knowledge of lab equipment for electronics and RF engineering such as oscilloscopes signal generators spectrum analyzers... THALES GROUP LIMITED DISTRIBUTION
Knowledge of scripting languages or other testing frameworks for test automation
Knowledge of System Engineering V-model
English and Italian fluency is a must ability to speak additional languages such as French is a plus
Nice to have
A basic knowledge of Navaids equipments such as ILS VOR TACAN DME and in the technical field of air navigation services and on the various regulations / standards such as EN ICAO or specific local standards.
Knowledge of Aerospace System / Software / Hardware quality assurance standards: SAE ARP4754 EUROCAE ED-109A (RTCA DO-278A) EUROCAE ED-80 (RTCA DO-254) EUROCAE ED-153
Proficiency in the use of issue tracking software (e.g. Jira)
Proficiency in the use of requirements and tests management tool
