Job Summary

Overview

1625 Outreach is no normal drug and alcohol service. It is an innovative and forward-thinking project with a proven track record of effectively engaging young people and young adults. Our ethos is centred around the principles of harm reduction. We provide non-judgmental fact-based information and advice surrounding drug and alcohol use and the associated risks. We aim to give young people and young adults the knowledge and skills to make more informed choices to keep themselves and their peers aware safe and well when it comes to drugs/alcohol.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging with young people and young adults in a way that is meaningful & impactful in a short space of time
  • Attend staff and volunteer meetings including development days and 1-1 supervisions bringing a positive and can-do attitude.
  • To work in a safe & risk informed way ensuring personal safety as well as the safety of colleagues and young people/young adults is at the forefront of delivery.
  • Commit to safeguarding young people & young adults adhering to local policies (training provided).
  • To work flexibly & holistically to meet the needs of the service
  • To advocate and empower young people & young adults in making more informed choices & keeping safe
