Overview
Element Materials Technologies is looking to recruit Test Technician to perform routine/non-routine maintenance and support testing activities within our Exposure gas laboratories.
This role requires the successful candidate to be responsible for performing a variety of repair installation and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning safety and reliability of equipment machinery and facilities. This role requires technical/engineering skills problem-solving ability and adherence to safety protocols to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency by supporting the testing team with any maintenance and testing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Inspect troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical and testing equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules to reduce equipment breakdowns.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests work orders and emergency repairs.
Operate hand tools power tools diagnostic equipment and other maintenance machinery safely.
Read and interpret technical manuals blueprints and equipment diagrams.
Assist in the installation of new equipment fixtures and systems.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs records and reports.
Ensure compliance with environmental quality and company safety standards.
Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
Procurement of testing essentials and may at times be needed to support testing activities
Setup tests in line with internal procedures and clients requirements
Skills / Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or engineering training preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical/engineering fundamentals
Ability to diagnose and repair issues quickly and effectively.
Proficiency with tools equipment and safety procedures.
Basic computer skills for logging work orders and reporting.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team and strong work ethic to get projects complete.
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. climb ladders and work in various environments.
Full training will be provided to ensure all aspects of the role are covered
