Job Description
The University of Tulsa College of Law seeks a Director of Professional Development. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position leading the department in the delivery of a comprehensive professional development program for students and alumni of the College of Law. This position is responsible for providing career and professional development counseling to students recent graduates and alumni; office management and planning for special projects; participation on multiple law school planning and assessment committees; collecting reviewing and maintaining graduate employment information for annual reporting required by the ABA NALP US News & World Report and other relevant accrediting bodies; performs as Adjunct Instructor for Deans Seminar during both Fall and Spring semesters for all incoming law students including meeting one-on-one with every law student; coordinate with Associate Director for all professional development programming provided to students throughout the year; conducts employer outreach and maintains relationships with firms governmental organizations non profit organizations and more to increase opportunities for the students both during and after law school. Specific Responsibilities: Provide career and professional development counseling to students recent graduates and alumni including meeting one-on-one with every law student at least three times during law school. Office management and planning for special projects Participation on multiple law school planning and assessment committees Collecting reviewing and maintaining graduate employment information for annual reporting required by the ABA NALP US News & World Report and other relevant accrediting bodies. Adjunct Instructor for Deans Seminar during both Fall and Spring semesters for all incoming law students including meeting one-on-one with every law student. Coordinate with Associate Director for all professional development programming provided to students throughout the year. Conduct employer outreach and maintain relationships with firms governmental organizations non-profit organizations and more to increase opportunities for our students both during and after law school including out-of-state travel. Serve on boards and committees of multiple outside organizations on behalf of the law school including OBA TCBA NALP and Sunbelt. Advise and collaborate with student organizations to co-host events such as job fairs consortiums speaker panels informational sessions and workshops. Manage Professional Development Office budget.

Required Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Juris Doctorate degree and 5 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Requirements : Experience working in a higher education environment; experience working with students in career planning professional development or closely related field.
