Position Description Summary
Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for temporary faculty positions (full-time one semester part-time one semester or part-time academic year) as needs arise in the Department of Exceptionality Programs ASL /English Interpreting Program. The Department of Exceptionality Programs houses ASL /English Interpreting programming at the undergraduate level which prepares students to interpret as entry level interpreters.
Duties
Based on the specific needs of the department at the time of appointment a successful applicant must be qualified to teach all of the courses in the category of application. These categories include: American Sign Language ( ASL ) Courses ASL /English Interpreting Courses Candidates will indicate which category(ies) match their qualifications. Candidates may check all that apply. Possible course(s) may include : American Sign Language ( ASL ) Courses- ASL 1 ASL 2 ASL 3 Deaf Culture ASL Literature and other ASL related courses. ASL /English Interpreting Courses- Introduction to Interpreting Interpreting Instruction Practicum Seminar Practicum and other related courses. The location for these temporary positions varies with the expectation of serving a multi-campus University within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
