An In Home Care Agency is looking for a compassionate and professional Registered Nurse looking for a part time job. Would be great for a nursing student fresh out of school and looking to get a start in the nursing world or someone looking to just add a few hours a week to their schedule.
PART TIME 5-10 hours/week
Here is what the job includes:
- Provide medication training to the medication caregiving team. Supervise teach and orient caregivers per agency guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Delegation as per state regulations
- Conducting and documenting nursing assessments
- Performing supervisory nursing visits every 60-90 days as needed
- Develop and/or update training and maintain existing training as per state regulations
- Demonstrate excellent working knowledge of issues and challenges of working with the senior population.
- Maintain medication updates to the company policy and procedure manual as regulations are updated.
- Support Care Coordinator with issues and conflicts
- Be tentative and supportive during weekly staff meetings
- Support maintaining state regulations and updating policies and procedures demonstrate knowledge of current health and homecare practices.
- Clear and supportive communication to caregivers with and questions or concerns
- Maintaining monthly MARs for medication clients
- Ability to make appropriate nursing judgements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word excel and outlook) applications scheduling systems and other healthcare industry related software (such as AxisCare).
Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Nursing degree from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current Oregon Drivers license and auto insurance.
- Currently registered/licensed with the Oregon Board of Nursing
- Successfully complete ongoing compliance with licensing certification continuing education background checks drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to listen and communicate clearly fluently and diplomatically-both orally and in writing
